On 4/8/2024 at 17:33, Crary Hose and Sabinsville EMS were dispatched to 369 Route 49, Westfield Township to the scene of an outside fire, no exposures. Chief 5, Engine 5-3, Squad 5-18 with ATV Rescue 5-28, Fire Police, Tanker 5-5, and Patrol 5-4 responded and were on-scene by 17:38. Sabinsville Ambulance 26-6 responded as well. Chief 5 established command and reported a controlled burn that extended into a brush fire involving a quarter acer. Occupants and bystanders were already working to extinguish the fire when Squad 5-18 and Engine 5-3 crews arrived and began working, extinguishing hot spots and raking smoldering materials back into the black. The fire was held to that quarter acre estimate and was quickly declared under control by command at 17:45. All Department 5 units returned available at 18:02
