It is with heavy hearts that the members of Crary Hose Company announce the sudden and untimely passing of our brother Firefighter and EMT Travis Birdsall. Travis joined Crary Hose Company on September 10th, 2007 and gave 14 years of service to his community. During that time, Travis served as Fire Police Captain for 5 years and also served terms as Vice President and Treasurer for the company.
Our members wish to express our deepest respect for his life and service, and our heart-felt condolences to Travis’ family during this time of grieving. This includes Crary Hose members Sohn Stark (son), Kim Engle (sister) and Zakkary Youngs (nephew.) In great sorrow we speak the words that too-often we say in the fire service: your watch is over now, dear friend. We’ve got it from here.
